The work of the Mallee Family Care Community Legal Centre would not be possible without the help of our dedicated volunteers. We greatly appreciate the contribution of all our volunteers.
The Community Legal Centre welcomes new volunteer lawyers who hold a current practising certificate (including a volunteer practising certificate). Volunteer lawyers generally do not undertake casework, and can be confident that they will provide legal advice only in areas of law that they are competent in and that reflect the casework guidelines of the community legal service. The work undertaken by the community legal service’s volunteer lawyers is both interesting and rewarding. Volunteer lawyers provide legal advice to the members of our community who need it most.
Generally, volunteer lawyers are rostered on to our after hours legal advice clinics on a monthly basis. From time to time there are also opportunities for para-legal volunteers at the community legal service. To apply for a volunteer position, please forward a cover letter outlining your skills and experience, and a current resume to
clc@malleefamilycare.com.au, attention to the Volunteer Co-ordinator.
